ICMS Advocacy Activities

A critical function of the Ingham County Medical Society is to advocate on behalf of our members in several priority areas and and to provide our members with tools they need to succeed in our changing health care environment.

Legislative Advocacy
ICMS and MSMS legislative experts closely monitor and respond to legislative developments that impact the profession of medicine and patient care. We alert and educate our members about these developments and provide the tools to help them engage with their local lawmakers on the issues that are most important to capital area physicians and their patients.

Keep current at MSMS Action Center.

Public Health Advocacy
From increased substance abuse and opiate overdoses to end-of-life care to vaccination rates, ICMS addresses the latest issues to keep our members and their patients informed.

Health Policy Advocacy
Through the MSMS House of Delegates, ICMS members can shape a wide range of health policies to improve and protect patient care.

Contact the ICMS office to learn more about being a delegate or alternate delegate.
